Mac Crashed - how to restore hazel rules from backup

Hi all,

My Mac crashed yesterday, and I had to do a new install of MacOS.
Lucky for me I have a backup!
But how can I get my hazel rules and settings from before the crash back.
I found a folder 'Hazel' in Library->Application Support, but when I copy over the latest files from my backup, nothing happens, I still don't get my rules back.
Am I missing something?
Can someone tell me how to do it right?

At first I had warning signs next to all my folders, and no rules at all.
Checking the log, I saw that the newly installed version was older then the version before the crash.
Updated Hazel, and all rules are back!
