Hej Forum,

since days i tried - without success - to extract the 10-digit-Ordernumber with
"Content matches" from my invoice i have gotten from Apple/Apple-Store.

Does someone tried that or can help me to catch the Ordernumber out of that invoice to be possible to add that to a filename?

I tried "a1a1a1a1a1a1a1a1a1a1" with Hazel but that does´nt work. The Ordernumber is allways in capitalised letters.
Within are one or two Numbers in a different position changing from invoice to invoice.

Thanks for feedback....
Any suggustions are welcome...

Try previewing your rule: https://www.noodlesoft.com/kb/previewing-your-rule/

If you click on the badge indicating whether a condition matches or not, it will show you the value for that attribute. So you can view the file contents as Hazel sees them and adjust accordingly.

Hej Mr_Noodle,

I knew that preview function and i got a green hook. But the result isn´t what i need.... But everything i did ...nothing matched.

Here are some screenshots from what i did... What i need to capture is the green highlightend Word(Number)

Any idea to that?
Maybe Apple protected the pdf-invoiceFile?

Thanks for help.

The problem here is that it is matching any sequence of 10 letters/digits. You'll need to do more to isolate the specific one you want. Try matching text before or after the number.

Also, you need to use a custom text attribute if you want to extract it for later use. If you do this and then use the preview, it will show you the actual text captured so you can fine tune the exact 10 letters you want to grab.
