Difficulty syncing folders

Hello!

Am trying to follow this tutorial but am running into problems.

I have a folder that I want to keep sync'd to an external SSD as a backup. The folder is a collection of subfolders, organised into year/month/day with the actual files sitting in the day folders at the bottom of the tree.

Here's my rule:

As you can see, it failed a preview when i added a file to today's day folder and so didn't run the sync. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

The rule is supposed to match folders. You are previewing against a pdf file, which is not a folder. You need to preview against the folder which you are trying to sync.

Ah that makes sense.

What I didn't put in my initial post - which was foolish of me! - was that the syncing isn't happening. New files - like that PDF! - are not being copied over to the external SSD backup. Any ideas why that might be?

Did you try previewing with the folder that is supposed to match the rule?
