Copying entire cloud folder Fri Jan 19, 2024 11:44 am • by cw21
I am trying to make a backup copy of my entire cloud storage, which uses a webDAV connection. I have the top folder/location selected as my "Folder" inside of Hazel with the following two rules:

1. If Kind is Folder, Run rules on folder contents

2. If:
a. Any file
b. Kind is Folder

Then

Copy to folder [folder I created on desktop]

The rule status shows that the folders and files are identified with the correct rules, but nothing is happening. I've tried pausing and resuming the rules, to no avail.

How do I fix this? Thank you.

First off, familiarize yourself with the troubleshooting guide here: https://www.noodlesoft.com/kb/hazel-tro ... ing-guide/

The rule status should show that all the folders are matching the first rule so it never gets to the second one. Also, the way you have your rules set up, even if it worked, you would only be copying the folders once. Not sure if that is intentional or if you wanted it to keep the other end updated. If the latter, check the manual as there's a chapter about syncing one folder to another.
