How to downgrade back to version 4?

I just installed version 5 and it is seriously broken for me (running the latest Catalina). As soon as it launched it said the trial had ended and when I try to purchase it just times out after a minute saying that it could not get pricing information through the internet.

If I delete version 5 will it also delete all my rules (I did not export them prior to installing the "upgrade").

Can I re-download and reinstall version 4? If so, where is the download on the website? A *quick* look could not find it.

Sigh!

The time out was because the store under very heavy load. The trial issue can be fixed by the following on the commandline:

defaults write com.noodlesoft.Hazel LastRunVersion 4.5.5

Before you downgrade, can you tell me the following:

- What os version are you running?
- Did you install Hazel or drag it into place?
- Were there any errors during install?
- Did you have to add Hazel to full disk access permissions? If so, did the trial expire right after that?
- Did you ever run any of the previous betas?

No errors that I recall, but I updated several apps this morning and it is possible I mis-remember the exact results :(

- Did you have to add Hazel to full disk access permissions? If so, did the trial expire right after that?

I had to add full disk access. IIRC the trial expired banner was there from the first launch

- Did you ever run any of the previous betas?

No

Now that Trial Mode is enabled, I will try again over the next couple of days to see if I can purchase the upgrade from the app (vs. from the website) before thinking further about down-grading

I was able to purchase the upgrade successfully via the in-app process. Thank you for the support and for a great app!

Congratulations Mr Noodle. I just instabought 5.0 and the installation and purchase (via in app store) couldn't have been smoother. Being in Asia I do get the "advantage" of being about 12 hours later which gives things a little time to stabilise!
