Recognising the following date format "2. Dezember 2014"

I am unable to find a solution for my problem:

I have documents from different companies which are in the format "2. Dezember 2014", "24. Januar 2014" (German).

I have my system in English, German is in the preferred Languages, yet I can't get Hazel to understand that "2. Dezember 2014" is 02.12.2014 - how can I do that in a rule?

Can you provide a screenshot of your rule (you'll need to host the image on a different site, like imgur.com)? In particular, show the date pattern you are using.

I have a pretty basic rule for invoices of my bank:

the first three rules are "Content contains" and these are verified just fine with the Preview option.

Then this text comes in the PDF "Ihre Kontoübersicht vom 2. Dezember 2014".

Currently I am using "Contents contain match" and I have a rule for every month as I have inserted the german month word in the rule (Januar, Februar, März, April, Mai, Juni etc.) and it works, but I have a few other companies I want to do this for and I want Hazel to understand that:

2. Dezember 2014 = 2 December 2014 = 02.12.2014 etc...

After the rules apply, the PDF is renamed and sorted into a subfolder.

Are you not using a date custom attribute? It should recognize German months as long as you have that in your language preferences.

Yes, I do use the custom date attribute, but it doesn't find it. On the preview it gives me an X and when I open it, I can clearly read the date - in my case "2. Dezember 2014" - in the text that is recognised. Very strange

Can you post the exact rule/pattern you are using?
