Old files not moving to trash from Downloads folder

I have a bunch of Hazel rules that work perfectly, including purging older files from an 'Unclutter' folder to the trash. However the same rule on my Downloads folder doesn't work. I have one rule for that folder that labels files red a month after they are added – and that works. I have another rule that is supposed to move files not added in the last four months to trash. That doesn't work, although using Preview suggests it should. Have tried numerous variations but nothing happens.

Is there something special about the Downloads folder?

Make sure that the file is matching the rule you expect in the status UI. If it does, then check the logs. If you still can't figure it out, post what you find here.
