Hi,

I've recently re-installed El Capitan. I'm wanting to copy my Hazel folder from my old installation on a SuperDuper! cloned disk. I could just copy the whole folder over, but it does seem to contain a lot of stuff. Is there a way to only copy the rules and leave the rest behind? Is there cruft that builds up or is it all necessary? I've pasted the contents below:

The hazeldb files are important in terms of maintaining state. Removing them wouldn't be entirely disastrous but it could cause your rules to fire again when they shouldn't. In general, I wouldn't be concerned about trimming those files down. They will just be regenerated anyways and they shouldn't take all that much space.

I have replaced the Hazel folder with the old one, but no rules appear. Have I missed something?

I suggest using this procedure to restore: https://www.noodlesoft.com/kb/restoring ... m-backups/

Report back if that doesn't work.
