Sorting the raw files by year

I have bunch of raw files from Canon camera CR2 and CR3 and DNG extensions in one Folder.I want to sort them by year created and if folders doesn't exist than let Hazel create them like 2023, 2024, 2025 and put them there accordingly. I have Hazel 6. Please help. Thanks.

Look at the Sort into Subfolder action. You can use a date in the pattern and format the date to only use the year.

I tried two ways to sort the RAW pictures in the folder Lightroom files on my desktop. See the attached screenshots.In both cases nothing happens. One is the way you suggested "with sort by date" and the other is a script. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

P.S I can't attach a jpg file to the post! So this is another problem.

this way doesn't work as well.

Can you post the non-script version again? You will need to host the image yourself like the one above or use imgur.com.

All of a sudden it works now. But creates folder for each day not for the year.Attached see the pictures.

You need to edit the format of the date created token to only use year.
