Why? They're typical and useful on phpBB forums.

I'd prefer a larger default page size, e.g. similar to the result that View > Zoom In (Command-+) in Safari displays. That could also reduce excessive left/right margin whitespace.

Here are before/after zoom screenshots (50% resized) of the Board Index page as an example of the difference I've described:

One thing that makes the smaller size more challenging for me to read (on this and other phpBB forums) is a board style with bluish text on bluish backgrounds.

At least for now I've switched from the new noodle3 style back to noodle, which is much easier for my again eyes to handle. :)

Thanks, Paul. I'd eventually get used to it, like with the noodle2 style that's also relatively small. And zooming works fine here and on most sites when readability is too straining.

I've been doing some long overdue site/server maintenance and as a part of it, I've just added in a button (located under the search button) where you can cycle through different font sizes (it looks like an A with up and down symbols around it). This was actually in the original template but I removed it for some reason way back when. It's there now so you can quickly adjust the font size and it should be remembered in subsequent visits. Sorry about taking so long to do this.

If you notice any layout issues at other font sizes, let me know by posting the page URL here.

Thanks.

Sorry that I reopen this older threat – I like the site and forum very much!
What I miss is a THANKS BUTTON – so many times someone or you mr. noodle found a solution to a problem and I want to thank them, but writing an extra post for this just makes the threats longer...

((If there would be a thanks button you could even think of one site where automatically the posts with 10+ thanks are kept as a best solution tips page or something. That would be interesting.))

Thanks for the feedback. There is no thanks or voting system in this forum software but it's something I'll think about in the future.
