Please can someone tell me how I can add a screenshot to my post. I have tried and all it does is copy the link to my desktop.
Cheers....

You cannot host images on these forums directly. You need to use an image/file hosting service. If you don't have one that you use already, try imgur.com.

I might hop on this one, since it's exactly my case. I've just posted a long, thorough question in the main support forum. I tried everything conceivable to load two image links (from imgur.com). That was after trying Dropbox and even iDrive with similar unsuccess, and rereading the BBcode help. I don't know what more I can do. The spots where the images / links should be have generic placeholder icons leading nowhere.

I'll just add the closing observation that for a non-coding noob like me, BBcode does my head in. Is there some plugin that could be installed on the forum to alleviate that?

What is the URL of the image you want to host?

The particular images are sorted now (in my other very long post). They are at https://imgur.com/1GsMda3 and https://imgur.com/Zrc2Ory for what that's worth now.

But my wider point is it just took this poor noob literally hours of trial and error to figure out how to tag images and lists. It was a learning experience I suppose. But awfully geeky for the average bear.
