I have a running rule that trashes any empty folders it sees in my Downloads folder.

Problem is, I have occasional need to create a new folder there, but it usually gets trashed before I can fill it.

Any way to except newly created files, or perhaps delay the trashing for a bit? Thanks.

You could set your rule to only match if the folder name does not contain a certain keyword – which you'd have to include in your folder name – or using tags. But in the latter, you'd have to be really fast.

That's what I can think of.

You can delay the match by adding "Date added is not in the last X minutes". Provided you fill the folder in that time, it should work.
