Can Hazel Do This?

With thousands of photos spread across Dropbox, can Hazel scour the Dropbox Folder and do the following?

1). Find all photos (.jpg, .raw, .png, .tiff)
2). Read EXIF Data
3). Rename Photos with chosen pattern (based on EXIF) (e.g. yyyy-mmm-dd-01) and preserve extension
4). Move photos into Folder "Photos", then Folder "Year", then Folder "Month"

I've searched a few days for a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Mike

Search the help for "subfolders" to learn how to get Hazel to descend into subfolders to process the files within.

Note that Spotlight does not index the Date Taken attribute in EXIF but Hazel does provide its own version which you can use here. You can find it in the list when you select "Other" in the attribute pop-up.

From there, you can use that to rename as needed. "Sort into subfolders" can be used to sort into subfolders by date.
