How to move files into corresponding subfolders?

Hi,

I am trying to automatically move the backups that arrive in my Folder1 to Folder2.

Folder1 will be empty to begin with.

Every week, several subfolders get automatically created (at different times) by another program inside this Folder1.

Ex.: Folder1/subfolder1, Folder1/subfolder2..

I have the following rules on Folder1 at the moment:

When I first created the above rule set, Folder1/subfolder1, Folder1/subfolder2 were present and they got moved over to Folder2.

My question is, next time the subfolders get created inside Folder1 (from external source) with the same name as those in Folder2, is there a way to have the files be moved into corresponding subfolders from Folder1 in Folder2?

I do not want Hazel to create subfolder1-1, subfolder1-2, subfolder2-1, subfolder2-2 etc. over a period of time.

You can't merge folders. Instead, you need to have Hazel go into subfolders. Then have another rule to match the files within and move those. There are options when moving a file to preserve the folder structure at the other end. Look up "subfolders" in the help on how to do that part.
