Might be easier to setup a symlink between dropbox and the log file. http://wiki.dropbox.com/TipsAndTricks/SyncOtherFolders

As for Hazel and DropBox, they're a match made in heaven. I use Hazel to sort nearly every document on my computer into the dropbox folder structure.

There are some issues with the syncing capability now. You can use the "source folder" attribute but there are issues with copying the same file over and over as it will create duplicates instead of overwriting the existing one. I'm mulling over solutions for this in 3.0.

As a_freyer has mentioned, symlinking is a good way to have things synced via DropBox that can't actually be in the DropBox folder.
