I have a single rule on my desktop that moves files with an extension into the trash. The rules run fine if I run them manually. however, they don't seem to run automatically. Why?

I believe we handled this in email but check the permissions on the Library/LaunchAgents under your home folder. If you cannot write to it then you need to fix that.
