What if I relocate directories Hazel uses?

I need to move an entire directory structure to another disk.

I have an encrypted sparse disk image on my local drive that I need to move to an external drive. I'm not changing the names of the folders - just the location. Will I need to go into the rules that monitor that folder and 'redo' where I want Hazel to move the files?

Which brings up a point about sparse disk images - I've heard that every so often, it's best to relocate the date, blow away the disk image, then recreate the image, then put the original data back. Will this confuse Hazel?

Thanks so much!

Got any references where that's recommended? Thanks.

I believe I last heard it on Mac Observer's Geek Gab. Maybe 2-3 episodes ago?
