I would like to ask for some help getting Hazel to run an Automator workflow, but I'm not savvy enough to know exactly where the problem is. I have created a workflow that I think will send an email with the specified file attached. It looks like this:

Get Selected Finder Items --> New Mail Message (with appropriate info filled in) --> Send Outgoing Messages

I have the rules set up to match a file with a particular name within a particular folder, then the action is to run the above workflow and move the file to a new folder. Hazel shows that the particular files are matched, but when I actually run the rules nothing happens.

Any help on where to look or what to try would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You don't want to use "Get Selected Finder Items". That uses whatever files you happen to have selected in Finder. Delete that action from the workflow. You just want the first action in the workflow to take in files.
