bug: can't adjust custom tokens

I've encountered a bug while trying to create or adjust a custom date token.
When clicking on the disclosure arrow within the token to `Edit attribute…`, I can't drag and drop elements onto the text field. Likewise, clicking on a template element doesn't add it to the text field. Keyboard entry is also impossible. After a number of attempts, system preferences crashes.

EDIT: this behavior occurs only when I preview a file
