Problem with Sort Into Subfolder and pattern matching

I have a Hazel rule that renames a file based on the Source/URL address and then files it using sort into subfolders.

A typical file ends up with a name like 123456-1.png (specifically gameid-turn).
Folders are 123456, etc.

All works well if the subfolders are named exactly the same as gameid.

My understanding is that the … "anything" token is required for a partial match with the folder name. However, when I include it the file does not get moved, even if the folder name is exactly the same as the Gameid.

Can you give a specific example where it isn't working? Also, check the logs and dig up any errors.

You can see the problem in these two screenshots:

Previous rule, everything working OK

After adding the "anything" token it fails, whether there is anything or not

This time with something there

The log is not (obviously) helpful

Thanks for that. I think there is a bug of some sort here. I'll look into it and will hopefully have a fix in the next patch. Email support if you are interested in getting a test build when a fix is ready.
