I often send files from MacBook to iMac using airdrop and have Hazel process the received file.

To automate more I have the following

Hazel on Macbook - move file to cloud drive
Hazel on iMac - move file from cloud drive to Downloads and process file

I would be great if there was a way for Hazel to send directly to the iMac by airdrop. I realize this is probably an Apple restriction, it just seems a bit crazy to have to send the file to the cloud or a network drive ...

I'll need to look into it but I believe the Apple's APIs require that the sharing sheet be brought up every time you need to do an AirDrop so there's no good way for Hazel to do that for you in the background. I've added it to the feature database but I suspect it won't be possible.

I move files between laptop & desktop using Dropbox, which has a share by LAN option available, and thus is pretty quick. Most of my documents are in Dropbox anyway but if I need to move one that isn't I have a Hazel rule looking for a tag ("/archive" in my case), and a rule on the other end to deal with it.

Obviously this requires LAN, which AirDrop doesn't, but it may help.
