Need help with AppleScript? Or possibly something else?

Everyday I have to email in a daily time sheet made in Microsoft Excel. I fill out my time sheet and click "Email Recipient file" and it opens Mail and I enter in the two email address that I need to send it to. I just started using a new email client called Postbox, which I prefer over Mail. However, I can not "Email recipient file" when my default client is set to Postbox.
Here is my question.
Is it possible to save each daily time sheet in a specific folder and have Hazel automatically email the file? I'm going to assume that I would have to use some sort of script, but I'm unsure.
I was playing around with Hazel and I see that I can make the rule:
Date Created -- is -- today
Run -- Automator/AppleScript/Shell Script
So what do you think the best course would be? Is it possible to write a script that would do this? Or is this wishful thinking? I've never created an AppleScript...
Sorry for my ignorance and I do appreciate any help in this matter, if only to steer me towards something else...
