I notised a while ago that safari was automaticly started and running in the dock, but when i click it it wount open.
If i close it it would return again.
I googled a lot and one sollution i found was to remove the com.apple.Safari.plist from preferences.

Today i looked in the hazel log and find this:

Code: Select all
2017-04-21 09:29:40.601 hazelworker[63198] DEBUG: Could not get modfication date of Safari prefs file /Users/xxxxxxx/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=260 "The file “com.apple.Safari.plist” couldn’t be opened because there is no such file." UserInfo={NSURL=file:///Users/xxxxxxx/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist, NSFilePath=/Users/xxxxxxx/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist, NSUnderlyingError=0x7fb973d60b70 {Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=2 "No such file or directory"}}

At least every minute i get this in my log. Is there somethin internal in hazel that uses safari or might there be something in any of all of my automations that uses safari?

As far as i know i dont use safari in any automation.

Hazel does check Safari's prefs to find out where it downloads files. It shouldn't launch Safari though. Are you sure it's Hazel doing it? Try stopping Hazel and see if that affects anything.

Also, double-check your rules for any use of the "Open" action.
