Alright here is my problem.
What I need is to scan 1-100 pages, have them OCR read 3 different fields on only the first page and rename the .pdf file with those 3 fields. From there I plan on setting rules within Hazel by Noodlesoft to send those newly renamed files into certain folders.

Keep in mind:
Mac OS software

The first form is always in the same format

The .Pdf will always have multiple pages to it but as stated before I only need the first form read and have the pages attached will follow.

You can try to have Hazel match on the fields using "Contents contain match". Search for "match patterns" in the help for more info.

If you run into problems with it, post back here.

From my (limited) understanding. Hazel won't automatically run a OCR on the .Pdf's. I should clarify, I need to find a program that will work hand in hand with Hazel renaming my .Pdfs with 3 fields on the form. From there I'll have Hazel disperse the files into designated folders. I want my system to be as automated as possible to wear as I can just scan my files and next thing I know they're in their folders.

If you have PDFpen, you can script it to OCR for you. See this article: https://katiefloyd.com/blog/automatical ... 17-edition

If you have some other OCR software, then you'll have to figure out if it's AppleScript-able and modify the script as appropriate.
