ScanSnap ix500 (Evernote Edition) + Renaming

I don't usually post to forums for support but I think that I could spend hours with Google and still not get the answers I need.

I have over 25,000 photos and over 20,000 notes currently in my Evernote account. 99% of those notes are scans. I scanned everything I had using the ScanSnap ix500, also know as the Evernote Edition ScanSnap, and sent it to Evernote for saving. I recently pulled the scans out of Evernote in an attempt to rename and organize the files. I saw this app and thought it would be amazing for renaming my photos and scanned files.

I am trying to find a simple but powerful rule for rename my files but am coming up short. I can't rename using keywords as the ScanSnap ix500 doesn't offer the ability to pull the 'top' part of the document as a keyword. I can't rename based on the date added/modified since these are scans already completed.

For example, I have a ton of scanned receipts. I was able to create a rule to move all the documents containing the word 'receipt' to a new subfolder but then the furthest I seem to be able to get is to then have a rule to sort them by store: CVS, Target, etc.

My question: is it possible to have a rule pull the date from the contents for renaming?

If not, is my only option to manually change the file's date and then rename? All new scans would be set up properly. I am just working on what has already been done. To that end, is there any way to pull the first line of text as well?

Any help is much appreciated. Once this is solved, on to the photos. Thank you!
