While searching on my subject I noted that Mr. Noodle indicated that having two computers running rules on the same dropbox folder was a very bad idea. I can imagine why. At times both computers might be trying to do the same thing at the same time and either the operation will fail or you will end up with "conflicted" copies of files. Maybe something worse.

So, one of my units is on 24/7. The screen will blank out, but the computer is still running and can be contacted through vpn and various other protocols.

My question is, will Hazel and Dropbox be running?
If so, I can just let that unit handle the rules.
If not,
I need a way to prod the system from time to time or
I need to think of a way to let the other unit push the rules through or
maybe its a bad idea all around and the rule processing for both should be on local folders with an eventual move to the various dropbox folders.

As long as you are logged in on that machine, Hazel will run. If you need to have multiple people able to log in, try setting up fast user switching so that the account running Hazel is always logged in.
