Is there a way to turn hazel on and off via applescript or automator?

I have hazel set to move movies and music from my laptop to my NAS. If something finishes downloading while I'm away from my home network hazel will try to copy it to my NAS, fail, and then delete the file. I need a way to make hazel ignore the files while I'm away

There is no automator or applescript support but something to be considered for a future release. You can try recording user actions to manipulate the UI but that may not be the most reliable thing to do.

That said, I'm not sure if this is the best way to deal with your problem. If Hazel fails to perform an action, it shouldn't preform the subsequent actions (i.e. it it fails to move the file, it shouldn't delete it). If you are seeing otherwise, I suggest you send me the logs (go to "Info" pane and click "View Log").
