Hello,

i´m a newbee in Hazel... But... i don´t find a way to do this:

If i create a subfolder in a folder, i would like to copy a file from a another subfolder to this new folder. It is always the same file to copy.

I don´t know, if i can do it all in Hazel or must i used Automator-scripts to do it?

1. I have a folder named "Daily Documents".
2. I create in "Daily Documents a new Sub-Folder.
3. In another folder, i have a word document, named "original.docx".
4. I would like to have a rule in Hazel, to copy "original.docx" to the new created Sub-Folder

Hazel can't really pull files from other places. You'd need Hazel to be at the location of "original.docx" and copy it to the subfolder. I'm still a bit unclear on the specifics of how/why/when but that's the general notion from what I can tell.

I have this issue as well. My use for this would essentially be creating a new client project.

"Folder A is my: Parent project folder" and contains all the projects. Folder A.1 is a project. I want each new project folder to have a default file created or copied from a "template file" to that newly created sub-folder. Is there a clear way to do this? I would like to place various default files within each project folder without manually creating them each time a project arises.

I'll consider adding a "copy from" type action in the future but in the meantime, to do something like this will require a script.
