Filing Sermons

Hi,

How would I get Hazel to follow this workflow?

Upon completion of a document I save to my ACTION folder..

I'd like to retain the title of the document but prepend the date to it.
Retain tags assigned when I save the file in pages or PdfPenPro

Then send a copy to my evernote notebook Sermons Preached 2016
Then send a copy to my iCloud directory "sermons 2016"
Then move the file to my local documents folder sermons 2016

It would be really nice if hazel could convert a copy from pages to PDF and accomplish the first two steps and retain the "pages" format when moved to step three..

You can use the Rename action to prepend the date.

I think retaining tags is up to PDFPenPro/Pages or maybe I'm not clear on what you are asking here.

You'll need to use Automator/AppleScript to import into Evernote.

You can have Hazel move the file to your iCloud Drive and then copy it to the local folder (be mindful of the order of copy/move operations. Each one operates on the destination of the previous action).

Converting from Pages to PDF also requires Automator or AppleScript.

Give it a try and post back here if you run into specific problems.
