Disk Images Thu Jan 11, 2007 9:44 pm • by bhcohen
Hi,
I'm trying to create a rule which removes files with a full name that ends in '~', i.e. foo.xml~ or foo~

The files are on a mounted disk image formatted as Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive)

For some reason, hazel isn't removing the files, in spite of the simplicity of my rule:

[Full Name] [ends with] [~]

(no other conditions)

Should this work?

It seems to work for me. I just created a disk image and set up a rule with the same condition.

Maybe the logs will give some clue as to what is going on. I say try doing a "Run Rules Now' on it while watching the logs to see if there are any errors and to see if it's matching the rule you think.
