Failed to find a string in a PDF Tue Jun 14, 2016 2:35 pm • by paulhubert
I am enjoying what Hazel CAN do, but in creating a rule to move a credit card statement PDF, it FAILED to see

"Account Ending x-xxxxx" where of course the x's = the actual number.

I copied the string FROM the PDF where I had set my Fujitsu ScanSnap software to make all PDFs searchable for the entire document.

Hazel DID match on "Blue Cash Preferred" (so you know what the card is!), but I WOULD prefer the more specific match of the account number.

SINCE I can copy and paste from the document, WHY does Hazel fail to see the string?

Try using Hazel's preview function. If you click on the badge for that condition, you can see the text as Hazel sees it. You can also see if there are other conditions that are preventing the rule from matching.
