Opening a file with an application Mon Jun 13, 2016 3:16 pm • by jmueller
Hi,

I thought I could use hazel's "Open" action to open a file with an application.
It does not work however. What is the reason for it? How can I circumvent this? Maybe with an applescript?

This is the simple rule. In the last step I want it to open the file with an app (iDentify). The app can open the file. In fact it is set as "default". So double clicking the file in finder will open the file in iDentify.

This is what hazel shows me as options when I want to use iDentify as the app to open it:

Instead of searching for it, can you navigate to it directly?
