Hazel disappeared with 2.3.5

I updated to Hazel 2.3.5 through the in app updating facility and now hazel has disappeared from my system prefs.

I tried reinstalling the program but everytime the system pref pane states 'The preference pane you are installing is already installed. Do you want to replace the existing preference pane?" When I click yes, the hazel preference pane still does not show up.

From what I can tell the rules aren't running in the background either.

Any ideas on what happened? Or how to remedy it?

Have you restarted your system, and reinstalled again if it's still missing after that?

I suggest manually replacing the Hazel.prefPane file. Try the following procedure:

- Quit System Preferences.
- Go to your Library/PreferencePanes folder and throw away Hazel.prefPane
- Download the latest version from the site.
- Move the new Hazel.prefPane to Library/PreferencePanes
- Launch System Preferences and load up Hazel.
