System Preferences Hangs on Install of Hazel

Hey there!

Finally reinstalling Hazel after having totally wiped my drive and starting fresh a while ago. I just downloaded the latest dmg (version 4.0.1), double-clicked to install, and selected to install just for the current user. System Preferences immediately hangs. I've tried this numerous times; System Preferences won't even launch unless I delete the Hazel pref pane file from ~/Library/PreferencePanes.

I also tried booting in Safe Mode with the same result. Any suggestions? I'm running the latest version of OS X on a 2012 MacBook Pro with a Samsung SSD.

Thanks!

Check the logs. Launch Console and see if any errors show up coming from System Preferences.

Also, when it is spinning, launch Activity Monitor. Select System Preferences and do "Sample Process". Email the output to support.

It started working - I'm not sure why, though. I think it was a dead link to a remote volume that was hanging around in my Login Items. Except, I had the same issues when I rebooted in Safe Mode, and Login Items were disabled.

Anyhow, it's working now; I will carry on and check back in if I have further issues. Thanks for your fast response.
