Hazel colour label/copying new folders question Thu Mar 24, 2016 12:57 am • by tyler_j
So I'm relatively new to Hazel, though I've managed to use it pretty well so far.
Currently, I'm trying a new set of rules to help sort out my music downloads folder and copy new downloads.

So far, what I've liked to do with downloads is to download them, then move them to an Automatically Added to iTunes folder. After doing that, I've changed the colour label to green so that I know that the green ones are copied over, but the ones without a colour still have to be copied.

If I use the rule:
If [colour label] is [x]
[Copy] to folder [Automatically added to iTunes]

Then I can easily get the new folders over to the iTunes folder, but therein lies my question.
Is it possible to then change the original folder colour label to green?
By adding the option of: [Set colour label] to [green], then it will only change the folder that I've just copied, not the original.

Is that at all possible to do?

If that isn't possible, is there a better way to copy new folders in my downloads to my itunes folder automatically?

Thanks for any help everyone!

Can you use Hazel's "Import into iTunes" action instead? If you do that, then setting the green label afterwards will work on the original file.
