2-way sync question.

Hello,

I understand that Hazel does not perform 2-way syncing. I have been syncing a folder on my mac to a dropbox folder. My question is what happens to a file that was added to the folder on the dropbox side when hazel's sync rules are applied? If the file is not in the folder on the mac, is it then deleted from dropbox by Hazel?

Thank you for the clarification.

Yes, it will probably get removed as the one-way sync is trying to mirror itself to the Dropbox folder, in this case.

OK. What I was trying to do was to sync (2-way) folder located in dropbox and in icloud. Is there a practical way to do this with Hazel, or should I look to another application to do this? Of course, individually, the cloud services do this, but I'm not sure if it is possible to sync between them. Perhaps I need to use a product such as Folder Sync and tinker with the settings and/or develop a script to run the app automatically. Thanks again!

I don't have any firsthand experience with any syncing software but yes, you'll want something probably dedicated to doing this. That way you can interactively deal with conflicts and such.
