I drag a file to the desktop, which Hazel is monitoring. If I want Hazel to run an applescript on the file, how would I write the script? Would it just be a simple "tell app finder to play with the selected file" thing?

Is there any documentation on Hazel and Applescript?

If you go to the Apple Help (click on the question mark button in the lower right) and search for AppleScript, there should be an item on it which includes a template you can copy and paste into your own script.
