Hi,

Hazel works quite well since I bought it in 2013. Unfortunately something went wrong after upgrading to El Capitan. As it seems, a lot of users, like me, have the problem that OS X tags simple vanished after the upgrade. I use the tags mainly to let Hazel move a file from the desktop the folders specified by the tags.
As soon as I finish typing in the tags, hazel moves the file to its destination but unfortunately, and I think this is since El Capitan, all tags are deleted on the way. So the files gets to its destination but all the tags are gone.

What happens if you do the same thing manually in Finder? Do the tags stick around then? If not, then it is an issue that you should bring up with Apple.

Oops, I didn't think about that and so now made a few more test.

If I copy a file in the Finder the Tags stay where they are. If Hazel copies the file they seem to be gone.

Now the strange part:
I usually use Column View. Sometimes when I switch to List View I can get the Tags by viewing the Information about the file. When I go back to Column View then the Tags are suddenly visible. But only sometimes.

And now I found out that when I have a whole folder with Hazel copied files without Tags I just double-click one of them, then click on the name in the header to see the Tags. When I then close the file all Tags on all files in the folder are suddenly visible.

So, it seems to be a Finder problem :(

Thanks for the tip
