subfolder problems

I have a series of nested folders (many of them) for my photos. I would like to label any folder whose size has changed, but only the actual folder where the files were added or deleted. What I get is only the folder just below the top level. For example, I created a test with nested folders Test1, Test2, Test3 and 2011. 2011 is the only folder with files in it. If I delete a file from 2011 I get a label on Test2, but not on 2011, which is where I need it. I realize that every folder up the chain has also changed size, but I don't know how to label only the folder with the actual added or deleted file in it.
I'm pretty much a beginner with Hazel, so detailed help is very much appreciated!
