Rules execute individually Thu Jul 16, 2015 3:11 pm • by wlefevers
I am new to Hazel so forgive me if my understanding is not up to par but here is my problem:
I have a folder called Scans that I want to scan to several times per day at different times, I set up a rule in Hazel to monitor that folder for 'kind is pdf' and 'created today' and to 'sort into folder' with pattern 'date created' options are 'replace existing file) (Is it talking about the created folder or the files withing it?
My question is now since I created that folder, at a later time today if I scan again, if it going to add the documents to that folder since it already exists or is it going to overwrite that folder?

Yes, it will use an existing folder. "Replace existing file" will replace the file being sorted/copied/move at the destination if it already exists.
