I haven't been able to find a consistent reason for the file to be left behind. However, if another file is placed in the folder, both are then moved to the destination.
This happens pretty infrequently at this point.
Mostly, it seems to be doing what it is supposed to be doing.
Looking at the log file, I'm seeing some pretty decent gaps in output when it reports it's "Processing directories". Averaging about 5 minutes per output. That may be on purpose or not, but when a file appears in a folder it watches, it's usually acted on in less than a second.
So I'm going to consider this a minimal problem. At least one I can live with.
Thanks for the speedy response to my initial question and great program!
Hazel runs both periodically and also when something in the folder changes (file added, removed, renamed, etc.). I'm not sure why that one file was left behind but I recommend checking out the Troubleshooting post or you can contact me directly and we can go over more specifics.
I'll look into adding a log message saying which rule matched so you can more easily determine what's going on.
