Change file metadata on files from flatbed scanner

Here is what I would like to do. Can not figure out if Hazel can do it.

We do flatbed scans of artwork. The file is saved to a customer folder on a shared drive. I would like the file as soon as it is saved to have its metadata changed reflecting that we (my business name) did the scanning of the artwork. The metadata I am talking about is the info I (or anyone else) would see when doing a "get file info" in Photoshop, not a finder window.

The tough part is we also add to that folder other files that are not from us scanning their artwork. So it can't be set up to run on every file added to that folder.

The scanner software does not have any options to "embed" this info on the fly.

Can anyone guide me please?

You'll need to use a script to embed the info since that requires specific knowledge of the file type. Maybe someone else has more experience here that can chime in.
