Is there a way (with AppleScript for example) to display a dialog whenever a new file is added to a monitored folder that asks for a comma separated list of tags which it uses to apply those tags hereinafter?

Example:
- file "bill_ingBank_4/7/12.pdf" added to Download folder.
- prompt displayed: "please enter tags for the file bill_ingBank_4/7/12.pdf": _____________ [OK]
- "bills, bank" entered.
- "bills" and "bank" tags applied to file.

While I don't think someone has done that exact script here, search the forums for similar ones (as well as other places online). I feel like the pieces are out there.

Have you found a way to do this yet? For what it's worth, I'm looking for exactly the same thing.

The idea of prompting for one or more tags when a file is moved to a specific folder seems like it "should" be a very common (and useful) requirement. I've spend a lot of time trying to find an AppleScript or Automator action to do this with no luck.
