How complete is AppSweep?

Hi,

I have just reformatted my iMac as a spring cleaning effort and want to start off on the right foot by making sure apps that I delete get fully deleted. I was originally intending to use AppZapper for this, but Hazel already has an AppSweep function and I was wondering whether this will do as complete a job as AppZapper would?

AppZapper isn't expensive but why spend money when I don't need to?

Thanks in advance

I haven't used AppZapper recently but I feel that Hazel is pretty complete. If AppZapper has a trial, I suggest trying both and compare. Throw away an application and note which files Hazel picks up. Pull the app out of the trash (Hazel will detect this and let you restore the files it threw away) and then try it again with AppZapper. If you find any cases where AppZapper finds a file that Hazel doesn't, let me know.
