(I apologize in advance if this has been addressed somewhere already. I did my best to search through the forum for anything that had to do with this.)

Before I describe the problem I'm having with the "Did Not Change" rule condition,

I should ask: How is the "Did Not Change" rule condition supposed to be used?

It may be much less useful than "did change". Just anytime Hazel happens to scan the file, it will be true if that value didn't change from last time. It is probably more useful when used in conjunction with other stuff that has changed. Like if you want to check if one attribute changed but not the other.

(Apparently, when I replied two months ago, it never went through. So, please excuse the delay. )

Now that I know that the "Did not change" condition actually has a function...here's the problem, and the actual question:
I am unable to use the "Did not change" condition. Any time I add it to a rule, I get this error:
Image

This happens no matter how I try to use it, whether by itself like in the picture, with other conditions, with different actions...any configuration/combination.

And maybe a more important problem(bug?), if the condition "filter" currently selected has a text input box (like with is, is not, contains, etc).... if I switch to I "did not change" from the dropdown menu, the text input box remains.
For example, after switching from "contains":

But if I switch to "did not change" from a condition filter that does not have an input box (like with did change, is blank, is not blank) then there's no input box next like in the picture.
So...am I using it wrong? :?

It seems like there is a bug using "did not change". Until it is fixed, if you need to use it, you can try using "none" in the top popup and use "did change" instead.
