For those getting error about permissions when updating...

If you are getting these errors consistently (i.e. it has happened more than once when updating) and are willing to run a test version, contact me. Its seems the bug is not what I thought and would like to have people this is affecting run a special test version which will provide more useful log output for me to analyze.
