I only bought Hazel 3 yesterday. I'm still learning to use the app.
I created some rules for my Camera Uploads folder in Dropbox to organise individual image files according to their type. A separate subfolder for iOS Screenshots, Photos and Movies has now been created by Hazel 3 within my Camera Uploads folder in Dropbox.
Inside each parent folder (e.g. Screenshots, Photos and Movies) are individual "date created" subfolders for each file. These are automatically created using Hazel 3.
I want to assign tags to these subfiles inside my camera uploads folder. I can use the sort function in Finder to the files under my tag by date created. I tried adding the subsequent action "Add tags" to each of my existing rules for Screenshots, Photos and Movies. Unfortunately, the separate tags for each file type have not been created and applied to my subfiles.
Would anyone be able to tell me why the "Add tags" action is not working?
Can anyone explain to me how "dynamic tags" work?
