Syncing a Hidden Folder

Hey,
I would like to sync my ~/.ssh directory to my Dropbox directory. I can't get Hazel working as I would ideally like. Here's what I've tried.
Use the basic sync recipe. Monitor my home directory and when the .ssh directory changes sync to Dropbox. This requires that Hazel scan hidden items. I tried turning that option on and I didn't see the .ssh directory syncing but lots of other files for other rules were now being changed (e.g. the .DS_Store).
Instead I've set up two directory monitors. One for ~/.ssh that copies files/directories when they change to Dropbox. One in Dropbox that checks to see if files in Dropbox still exist in ~/.ssh, if they don't, delete them from Dropbox. This works, but I have to run the Dropbox delete rule manually because nothing in the Dropbox directory changes when the rule needs to be run (the changes happen in ~/.ssh).
Ideally I think I want to be able to say sync one directory to another one without having to monitor the parent folder or enable hidden items.
If there another way of doing this?
