Can't open Hazel preferences … doesn't work on Intel-based M

I know this has been posted before, but I've tried all the suggestions and Hazel is still not working for me. In fact, I don't even have an uninstall to use now, so I can't really wipe Hazel from my computer to try and start anew.
I'm using OS X 10.7.5 and had no problems until the last update. Or, I think that's when it started. I've tried to go back to a previous version, even one as old as 3.0.18, but I constantly get the message:
Preferences Error
You can't open Hazel preferences because it doesn't work on an Intel-based Mac.
I've tried manually deleting all files, but I must be leaving something behind. I only have it installed for one user. I don't know what else to try, and my files are a mess. Can I uninstall with the terminal? I don't even care if I lose all my rules, because I sure don't have any now.

Before doing that, I suggest checking the logs. Launch Console and then try starting up Hazel and see what messages pop-up for System Preferences.

I had already manually deleted the Hazel pref pane and anything in preferences from com.noodlesoft. I then installed 3.2.7 again and still got the can't open Hazel prefs message. Console said this:
5/30/14 7:22:52.232 AM DiskImages UI Agent: Could not find image named 'background'.
5/30/14 7:22:52.232 AM [0x0-0x69069].com.apple.DiskImageMounter: 2014-05-30 07:22:52.231 DiskImages UI Agent[946:707] Could not find image named 'background'.

5/30/14 7:23:05.861 AM System Preferences: [NSPrefPaneBundle instantiatePrefPaneObject] (/Users/webflunky/Library/PreferencePanes/Hazel.prefPane): principalClass is nil.
REDOWNLOADED 3.2.7 thinking disk image might be corrupted. Still get the can't open preferences message. This is in console:
5/30/14 7:33:14.677 AM DiskImages UI Agent: Could not find image named 'background'.

First off, try rebooting. Then, try again. If it fails, then launch Activity Monitor, select System Preferences in the list and do "Sample Process". Click "Contact Support" in Hazel's "Info" section and send that output in.

I did reboot and it still didn't work, and I sent the Sys Pref sample process on Friday to the support email. Thanks.
