All rules lost

I lost my hard drive over the weekend. I restored all the data via Time Machine, the only thing that didn't restore was my Hazel rules. It took several months to build the rules, and seconds to have them missing forever.
I followed the forum posts about looking in the correct locations on the backup, however, I don't see anything with the Hazel or Noodlesoft in /library/application support and /library/prefs. (looked in many versions of the TM backups) So all is lost, and I'm back to rebuilding rules.

My comment / suggestion is to either store the rules where time machine will have a backup of them, or consider storing the rules on a cloud so that I can access the rule if my machine goes belly up again, or purchase a new machine.

Those locations are standard so there must be an issue with Time Machine if it didn't back them up. You may want to double-check the Time Machine settings to make sure you didn't omit those files somehow. BTW, you are looking in those folders underneath your home folder, right? Not the ones at the top level of your drive?

Helo all,

I have a problem more or less like this one.

Today I've already purchase my license after some time of demo period.

With my new license all my rules have gone. I've spend some time creating rules and testing them.

Where and why those rules have gone?

Thanks

I think this may be a different issue. Can you describe how you purchased? Did you uninstall anything? Are you running any sort of cleaner software like MacKeeper?
